Situated on the northern edge of Exmoor National Park, Dunster is
about 2 miles from the seaside town of Minehead. You can have a day
out with the West Somerset Steam Railway, which starts from Minehead
and runs along a scenic route by the coast through Blue Anchor and
Washford to end at Bishop’s Lydeard. There is a beach about
a mile from Dunster, which has a large drive-on picnic area. Minehead
also has a good sandy beach and a picturesque harbour. Dunster has an excellent choice of places to eat. There are several good restaurants and pubs, as well as tea-rooms, so you can treat yourselves to a traditional Somerset cream tea! There are many fascinating shops in the village, and a large supermarket on the outskirts of Minehead, less than 2 miles away. There is also a Farmers Market in Minehead on Fridays. The self catering cottage at Priory Thatch forms the smaller part
of a thatched gatehouse, with the owner living in the larger part of
the property separated by a courtyard. It is situated on a quiet road

all shops, the PostOffice, restaurants and pubs. The accommodation is
all on one level, with 2 small steps up to the door. You enter into
the kitchen/diner, with an electric hob & oven, microwave, and

pretty garden. There is private off-road parking. Guests are welcome to use the garden, which is shared by the owner. Guests also have use of the garden furniture. Bed linen & towels are provided.
